To remove the locking pin release some tension from the top of the spring hinge by rotating the spring hinge in either direction using a hex key or a screwdriver depending on the model of the hinge.
How to adjust tension on self closing door hinges.
Start by removing the locking pin photo 1.
To confirm that it s the adjustment tab try pulling on it with the tip of your finger.
Use the small metal tension rod that came with your hinges when you purchased them.
Remove the locking pin by rotating the adjustment in the direction of the jamb.
Insert a tension rod in the rightmost hole in the top hinge s adjustment slot.
Meanwhile use another hex key or pliers to remove the pin.
Find the hole that s furthest to the right in the adjustment slot.
Take a moment to focus on the soft close hinge and find the adjustment tab.
Remove the locking pin.
Place the pin into another hole.
Establish the hinge spring adjustment required by moving the door to its fully opened position then allow the door to closed by the action of the self closing hinge.
This will pull the door back towards the hinge side of the cabinet.
Using your screwdriver turn the front screw clockwise to bring the hinge bearing edge of the door closer to the cabinet side.
Insert a nail set on a hole located beside the locking pin of the hinge adjustment spring.
If you need to push the door away turn the screw counterclockwise to bring the door in better alignment with the vertical edge of the cabinet.

Look for gray or silver plunger in the center of the hinge.
Place the locking pin nearer to the door and release the spring pressure.
Look on the side of the hinge near the top for a horizontal adjustment slot that has a line of holes inside.
Shut the door so that the inner cabinet or cupboard is completely concealed.
Close the hinged door all of the way.
